But that’s precisely what The Independent did in a September 25 story dealing with Benjamin Netanyahu being given the mandate by President Reuven Rivlin to attempt to form a coalition government. (So far, this has ended in failure.)

Why this has taken over a month to correct is beyond us but we are glad that, following correspondence with The Independent, the text has finally been updated to reflect the facts: that the law could be amended to lengthen a 100-day limit on the prime minister’s leave of absence.
